As part of Airobotics’ social community event, Airobotics hosted the winning group from HackA’Drone, a drone hackathon organized by Moona. The grand prize included a tour of Airobotics’ facilities, as well as a presentation by Airobotics’ key executives. During the visit, Airobotics hosted 21 participants from HackA’Drone, which included students, mentors and teachers. The event took place on Monday, December 20, 2016.
Efrat Fenigson, Airobotics’ Head of Marketing, kicked off the event with a presentation about Airobotics. In her presentation she shared the journey, which led to the creation of Airobotics.
A Q&A session with Airobotics’ CEO & Co-founder, Ran Krauss, followed Efrat’s presentation. During the session, the audience asked Ran a wide range of questions. One audience member asked, “what words of wisdom can you share with aspiring entrepreneurs?”
Ran was awarded an honorary plaque and t-shirt by Asaf Brimer, CEO & founder of Moona. The two shook hands.
Afterwards, Rami Shaham, Airobotics’ Director of Project Management, led a tour around Airobotics’ facilities.
During HackA’Drone, students of all ages and communities came together to collaborate, and work together on drones and robotics. The hackathon brought together students from different communities, Arabs and Jews, as well as people of all ages. Over the course of 24 hours, students were tasked with building new products. HackA’Drone is held annually, and is Israel’s first drone hackathon.
