About The Position

Airobotics is seeking a Head of Flight Operations to join our team. Airobotics is entering the America market and establishing its first operational center in Phoenix, AZ. Alongside Our team of system experts, we are recruiting a driven professional to take on the position of Head of flight operations. The ideal candidate will be highly sufficient in handling a wide range of responsibilities including planning, managing and executing multidisciplinary tasks utilizing cutting edge technology with Aviation expertise. Ultimately, the Head of flight operations should be able to ensure the smooth and safe running of all activities among client sites, test zones and depots to assist in achieving the company’s goals and objectives.

Airobotics has developed a pilotless automated UAV solution, the first of its kind in the global market. We provide an end-to-end, fully automatic UAV solution for collecting aerial data and gaining insights. Our industrial grade platform enables industries such as mining and oil & gas to access aerial data in a faster, safer, more efficient manner. Role will be at Airobotics USA is located in Scottsdale, Arizona.


· 2 years’ experience as chief pilot/ Head of flight operations- Must

· Experienced trainer with proven ability to compose and execute technical curriculums- Must

· Highly sufficient writing skills with backlog of applying for governmental- issued RFIs/RFPs/Waivers-Must 

· Technical “hands on” proven experience; electro- mechanic or SW background-Must

· 3-5 years’ experience as a Certified commercial sUAS operator 

· Experienced safety officer holding relevant credentials- minimum of ASP or similar- Advantage

· Experience in GIS: mission planning, Photogrammetry/ LIDAR processing- Advantage

· Project management skills- Advantage

· Demonstrated leadership capabilities, managerial experience and organization skills

· Strong team and collaboration orientation

· Resilience, adaptability, flexibility and the ability to work under pressure

Job description:

1.  Safety officer overseeing operations throughout the region

2. Airworthiness and compliance manager leading region’s flight operations in compliance with company procedures and protocols, MSHA & OSHA regulation and FAA & FCC specific certificates of waivers

3. Establishing ROC (remote operations center) procedures, protocols and training curriculums alongside on-going management and operations of the center; including planning, coordinating and executing flight missions throughout the region

4. sUAS mission specialist leading Aviation analysis & flight mission planning and approval 

5. Training leader managing and executing all aviation related training in region

Additional information:

· Operations to take place in various client sites throughout the region, Travel- up to 20%

· Home base- Scottsdale, AZ

· No visa sponsorship available- candidate must hold a valid US work permit

· Training program of up to 3 months will be carried out in the company’s global centers in AZ, Israel and Australia at the company’s sole discretion

· Start date- Jan 1st, 2019
